Made by the formidable Clare Burder from her families vineyard planted to sparkling grape varieties in the Whitlands Plateau 20 years ago. This vineyard is the highest vineyard in Victoria, sitting at 868 meters above sea level, an ideal place to grow very high quality sparkling grapes in this truly cool climate.
You would be forgiven for tasting this and thinking you were drinking grower champagne, the wines are made with the same level of care, precision and dedication. This 2013 vintage sparkling is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay. Barrel fermented and then aged on lees in bottle for 55 months prior to being disgorged.
