Jerome Lambert has just a few hectares of vines near Rublay-sur-Layon, just south of the city of Angers in the Loire Valley. Primarily dedicated to Chenin Blanc, he also grows some Grolleau and Cabernet Franc. 

With his red grapes planted over sandy soils, they are full of life; juicy and vibrant. The 'Le zu Defruit' is 100% Grolleau, left on whole bunches for 2 weeks before being pressed and left to sit for 9 months in fibreglass lined vats. While still carrying that fresh vibrancy, this vintage is expressing some more depth. Notes of peppery spice and earth adorn this gorgeous wine.
