Jauma is a family business founded by James Erskine in 2010. Before leaving the hospitality industry James was awarded the Negotiants working with wine scholarship in 2008, Australian Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the year 2008, Len Evans scholar 2008 and was chief judge of the Adelaide Review's Hot 100 wine show from 2010-2013.
With all of these amazing achievements and accolades gained in the wine industry, you would be forgiven for reading about this and feeling a little bit intimidated about drinking James' wines. However like his wines, James is extremely down to earth. The wines are thoughtful and serious while still being approachable and full of joy, which is a testament to his skill as a winemaker and a reflection of his character as a person.
UJO is a blend of whole bunch fermented Cabernet Franc with a little bit of Chenin Blanc and Shiraz Rose to make it a party. Lots of dark purple fruit here and lots to love about this wine.
