Jerome Guichard 'Noir de Creuse Noir' 2017

Jerome has crafted this brooding Gamay from just over a hectare of 75 year old vines in Leynes, where the Mâconnais borders Beaujolais. Nestled amongst the woodlands these vines grow on basalt at the base of a volcanic mountain range. Whole bunch fermented over two months before being pressed off to old barrels to rest for 9 months. Complex and powerful, an outright experience to drink.
