From 300 year old bush vines which grow up the surrounding trees, the pickers have to climb ladders to pick the grapes from the vines wrapped around tree trunks. This is truly natural, unadultered viticulture and such amazingly good value for a wine of such vine age.
Words from the one and only Mike Bennie, from The Wine Front:
Floral, fragrant red, all rose bushes and pot pourri, ripe cherry, anise. The palate is juicy, soft, tightens gently on traintracks of sandy tannin. Feels simple but super pleasing, an easy access red with plenty of savoury personality, and a great sense of purity.
